PartyQueue Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
TJ Audio Productions (ABN 17 373 031 383), trading as PartyQueue ("we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in connection with PartyQueue, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
From Operators (DJs, event companies, venues) who create an account:
- Name, email address, phone number, business name and ABN (where provided)
- Billing details (processed by our payment provider — see Section 4)
- Event data you create: event names, branding assets, do-not-play lists, guest requests received
- Usage data: login activity, device/browser information, IP address
From guests submitting a request through an event page:
- The song requested and, if entered, a display name
- We do not require guests to create an account, provide an email address, or log in to submit a request
- Basic technical data (IP address, device type) for fraud prevention and rate-limiting
- We deliberately limit what we collect from guests to the minimum needed to run the live queue — we don't ask for guest emails, phone numbers, or other identifying details
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate and improve the Service (running events, live queues, ranking requests)
- Manage Operator accounts, subscriptions and billing
- Communicate with Operators about their account, service updates, and (with consent) marketing
- Maintain security, prevent abuse of the guest request system, and comply with our legal obligations
3. Disclosure of personal information
We don't sell personal information. We may disclose it to:
- Lovable, which hosts the PartyQueue application and underlying infrastructure
- Stripe, which processes all subscription payments (see Section 4)
- Music catalogue matching services, to match song requests to the correct track
- Other guests at the same event, where an Operator's settings display requester names on the live queue
- Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law
We design the Service to limit the personal information we collect and disclose wherever possible — particularly from guests, who can submit a request without an account, email, or phone number. Some of our service providers (including our application hosting infrastructure) may store or process data outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs.
4. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. All payment details (card numbers, billing information) are collected and held directly by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers on our own systems. Your payment details are subject to Stripe's own privacy and security terms.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember event settings, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we experience a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Data retention
We retain Operator account data for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. Guest request data (song, display name) is retained only as long as needed to run the event and for a limited period afterward for Operator reporting, then deleted or de-identified.
8. Access and correction
You can access and update most of your Operator account information directly in your account settings. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (including as a guest who submitted a request), contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
9. Marketing
We will only send marketing communications with your consent (e.g. if you opt in at signup) and every message includes an unsubscribe option, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
10. Children
PartyQueue is not directed at children. Operator accounts require the holder to be 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond a first name a guest may enter with a song request.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, contact us first using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
